Installing Windows Phone 8.0 SDK
In this article we would see the Windows Phone 8 SDK installation.
Supported operating systems: Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro
Operating system type:
Windows 8 64-bit (x64) client versions
6.5 GB of free hard disk space
4 GB RAM
64-bit (x64) CPU
Windows Phone 8 Emulator:
Windows 8 Pro edition or greater
Requires a processor that supports Second Level Address Translation (SLAT)
If your computer meets the hardware and operating system requirements, but does not meet the requirements for the Windows Phone 8 Emulator, the Windows Phone SDK 8.0 will install and run. However, the Windows Phone 8 Emulator will not function and you will not be able to deploy or test apps on the Windows Phone 8 Emulator.

Now let’s download the installer
You can download it in two ways, as web installer and an offline installer as ISO file.
The first screen you would see when the application is launched is as follows.
You click on agree and the following install button would become visible.
Of course we would install, and it would validate the installation and continue.
As mentioned earlier, if your hardware supports SLAT it would have the following screen to apply. Which requires a restart.
The setup would continue after the restart. Which would finalize the settings for Windows Phone tools.
And finally it’s done.
You can test your Windows Phone 8 emulator by creating a sample application.
